We are a community-based organization focused on helping our clients meet their housing needs.
We provide a Drug and Alcohol Recovery/Clean Living Program where adult men and women can be assured that they have a private place to sleep, eat, and live with dignity and respect. All houses are Smoke Free, but you are welcome to smoke outside.
Private Sleeping Rooms
If you, a loved one, or a client is seeking to secure a private clean room, let us help with the transition to clean and sober living. All our rooms come with keyless entry, a full or twin bed, personal storage, and private refrigerator. You must provide your own bed linens, toiletries, cookware, and your own television.
Room Rate Options
All rooms require a fully refundable $150 deposit
- $130 per week or $520 per month
- $135 per week or $540 per month
- $140 per week or $560 per month
- $150 per week or $600 per month
Members pay for the week or month prior to staying in our program.

Our Houses
New Direction has over 50 houses operating throughout the Hampton Roads Area. We offer single occupancy rooms for men or women, but not co-ed.
All houses are NONSMOKING, but you are welcome to smoke outside the home.
Every house is climate controlled by whole house air conditioned and heated homes.
Our clients share the well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. Clients also share the bathrooms with their fellow housemates.
Most houses have coin-op washer and dryers located within the common space.
Some houses have common areas where the clients can come together and share meals and stories.
